HSI biennial conferences provide great opportunities to network and learn about the latest in research and industry relating to Zingiberales. Conferences are accompanied by field oriented pre and post tours. During pre and post tours you will be able to experience Zingiberales along side of fellow enthusiast and experts. The conference will be held at Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden (NNTBG) in Pattaya, Thailand, from August 8–12, 2026. The program includes three half-days of presentations, a guided tour of Nong Nooch Garden with lunch, and transfers to and from Bangkok.
Registration includes four nights at the Nong Nooch Resort, daily conference breakfast, snacks, lunch, and coffee breaks, as well as a gala dinner.

Post-conference tour in Chiang Mai, Thailand
August 12-15, 2026
After the conference in Pattaya, we will travel north to Chiang Mai for a special post-conference tour. Participants will visit Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, meet commercial growers, and get an insider’s look at Maejo University’s ginger breeding program. The tour will include visits to Buddhist temples and a traditional Khantoke Dinner and Cultural Show. There will be free time to explore Chiang Mai’s famous night markets and bazaars.
The post-tour also includes a one-way flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, three nights at the Movenpick Suriwongse Hotel, transportation to all tour destinations, and airport shuttle

Visit Ubonrat Nursery, Queen Sirikit BG, enjoy Khantoke Dinner and Cultural Show.

Visit Maejo University, Ampika Robkob Nursery, and enjoy Night Bazaar.
15 August 2026
Day 4
Free time at Waroros Market, Tha Phae Gate, and depart Chiang Mai.
